  1. Webturk

Purchased this laptop when my IPad’s battery died. This laptop gives me far more flexibility than an IPad & I love it. If I traveled more, I might have selected a smaller screen but because I will mostly use it in a fixed location, I am very much enjoying the super wide screen. Have only had it for a month, but so far I am well pleased & only wish that I had purchased sooner.

  2. AMZCUSTOMER

I snagged this laptop to upgrade from my college laptop which was a Lenovo Yoga with a Corei7 and touchscreen. Here are my pros and consPROS:1. Smaller, more manageable size than a 15-inch screen2. The display hinges are much more rigid. One thing I hated about my old laptop was the screen wobbled around when in use3. The screen is a matte finish. My old laptop had a gloss screen which had an awful glare4. The camera has a slider to cover it up5. The battery life is much, much better than my old laptop6. Stepping down to a Corei5 has not been noticeableCONS:1. The charger is still proprietary and not a USB-C2. The up and down arrow keys are very small3. The trackpad does feel cheap compared to my all-metal old laptopIf I had one piece of advice for my soon-to-be college student self, I would say skip the $1000 laptop as it is not worth it even in engineering school. Buy something in the $500-700 range.

  3. Danielle Kimball

I purchased this laptop last month, and I absolutely love it. It is lightweight, yet very sturdy. It has a backlit keyboard with buttons that are like “magic”, smooth and easy to type on, and quickly too. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the camera. I’ve done a couple of zoom calls and the quality seems very poor/low. I looked very white/pale and the quality wasn’t super clear. Luckily I don’t need the camera/webcam that often. As a personal laptop computer it rocks, and I can’t recommend it enough!!

  4. Daniel Combs

It works when powered up, it works, when it goes into sleep mode, it works, whenever I need it. It simply Fine Technology at its Best! i5 Intel processor, plenty of memory, plenty of speed. Works well on Wifi, and USB to Ethernet. Highly recommend this device and model.

  5. Mitch

Replaced a 2012 laptop and you can imagine the differents. It is quick and screen is outstanding

  6. mrajfura

Usually when you get a laptop for this price you expect the laptop to be a little on the slower side especially since most laptops today have 16 GB of memory. This laptop comes with 8 GB of memory soldered in and the laptop will accept another 8 GB of memory which is on order. This is surprisingly fast for only 8 gigs of memory. I had no issues with downloads, apps watching movies or downloading about 250 gb of data from my one drive. The laptop boots up in about 20 seconds. Really does not need anything else for my use. Might not be enough for gaming but should be kind of decent. My one big complaint about this laptop is the touch panel and keyboard is off center, they did this to put in a number pad which is nice feature. The problem is that on the touch pad while I am trying to click on the item, I keep on right clicking on the item. Also, when I put my hands on the keyboard, I sometimes am off by one position and have to reset my hand. I am sure I will overcome the keyboard but the touchpad I am having a hard time with. So, besides the 8GB of memory ordered I ordered a 1 TB SSD drive. I hate one drive I am old schooled I love having items on my computer and being fast. One drive is very clunky but is very usefull for not loosing data when the hard drive goes or for this instance when I got a new computer. It was painless to transfer everything over. For wifi connectivity the router is upstairs and I am in the room directly below and getting speeds of 400 MBPS which is really fast. Sitting next to the router I have hit average speed of 639 download and peak of just over 700 using Speedtest. My MacBook is not even doing that. The laptop is really light and feels just a touch flimsy there is almost no flex in the base part and screen does not flex opening and closing. If you grab both ends of the top of the screen you can get it to flex. Not a deal breaker at this price point and I really love the laptop. I have had a Dell and also an HP laptop at this price point in the past and was alway disappointed and by upgrading was happy. This one many years later which should be costing several hundred dollars more due to inflation but got at the same price as both of them ($500) is quite the bargain. I did not get to test other laptops at this price point but I know this is quite a deal. You will not be disappointed and even though I ordered more memory and a bigger SSD the laptop is pretty good just the way it is. I will upgrade to see if I see any more improvements in speed with the RAM. It never hurts to have more. Bonus this has Windows 11 Pro.

  7. April BachrodtApril Bachrodt

Wow the screen looks amazing and the finishes are all high end. It was very easy to setup, maybe 15-20 min with updates, account setup and passwords if you already have a Microsoft outlook account. The 16gb of RAM will make this fly through any tasks and the 1tb hard drive is way more than I’ll need anytime soon.Verified it works with a generic old USB-C dock as pictured. The only thing it’s missing is an Ethernet port if you want to go hardwired so you would need an adapter or use it through the dock if you have one. It’s great they were able to fit a 10 key on this but it is a bit on the small size as seen from my fingers on all the keys. They say this is lightweight but I had to check it with my scale because it felt way more 5lbs. I was surprised, it weighed in at 4lb 10oz.Overall I am very excited to put this through the test and have no doubt it will crush most anything thrown at it.10/10 would purchase again.

  8. Wendyl Leslie

I purchased this laptop for its size (17.5″), price, and the good reviews it received. Typically, in the past, whenever I purchased a new laptop, I had to jump through hoops and spend an inordinate amount to time just to set it up. But this laptop was a breeze to set up. I was greatly relieved. After using it for a couple of weeks, I have had no problems. The Internet is super fast, and it reacts seamlessly through other programs. I can’t recommend this laptop enough.

I was looking for a nice every day computer when I cam across the Lenovo 3i. This is an excellent computer on a budget!Appearance:The Lenovo 3i is made of a plastic shell in an Abyss Blue color. The blue color is very pretty and at first glance you would think this laptop is made of a nice brushed metal. That is until you touch it. Then it’s definitely plastic. HOWEVER the build quality is great!Travel:This laptop is very lightweight at 3.3 pounds. The 14 inch version fits in any backpack very easily and the fingerprint scanner makes it very secure on the go.Performance:The Intel i5 paired with the 8GB RAM makes this little laptop very peppy. Add Windows 11 Pro and I can easily manage multiple windows. I use several excel sheets while browsing the web and the machine handled it like a boss. NOW this is NOT a gaming laptop. It can handle small games but if you are looking to play more than some facebook games then I would look for something else. Though this laptop doesn’t advertise itself as a gaming laptop anyways.Webcam:The webcam quality is fine. Ive had better webcams but it gets the job done. I do like however that they have a built in webcam blocker. (The little plastic sliders that cover your webcam so you know you are private).I feel the cost for the function of this laptop is exactly what it’s advertised as and is a great product for the cost. The low bloat were made setting this laptop up a breeze. This laptop is a perfect match for students, or adults wanting a budget laptop that can handle the everyday tasks you throw at it.

  11. Rene t.

The picture quality is great and response time for our needs is perfect. We purchased the larger screen so works wonderful for an office computer. Very satisfied with this laptop.Rt

  12. Luis N.

Esta Laptop fue comparada para utilizarla en casa y es muy comoda

  13. Todd

Bought this to replace an older HP laptop. We use it primarily for Internet access and some basic local app usage (Word, Excel, Quicken, TurboTax, etc.) We are not gamers and to not do anything graphic-intensive (CAD, etc.). I am very impressed with the performance, display and build quality for the price. Definitely recommend!

  14. AFAAFA

Just bought this for my mom! She loves it! She is an awesome childbirth educator and has created a self paced online All-in-One prenatal course for pregnant and new moms. She will be using the Lenovo to: make more online courses, for posting videos on her You Tube channel – Humsa Prenatals, for social media, promotion and marketing of her courses, and for her website Humsa Prenatals dot com. She says that the screen is clear and wide, loves the key board, she was able to connect it to an external LG monitor with a HDMI cable. She just wishes there were more ports. She is using one port for a Logitech unifying receiver, that leaves only one port for her USB drive. She would have to buy a Multi port hub. She loves the sleek appearance. The grey silver color is pleasing to the eye. The keys are visible. The base got heated up hence she has put it up on plastic lids so that it is elevated. That helped. The webcam can be hidden by just moving a slider, what a relief! All in all, a good buy. She hopes it will last her for years to come.

Got this for my daughter who is a junior in college this fall. She had been using an iPad to do school work, but that does have some limitations. She is transferring to an out-of-state college and will have more demands from her class work than the iPad can hold up to.It is of course no gaming titan, but it can handle some light gaming. My daughter plays Sims on it and her boyfriend says it runs way better on her laptop than his Macbook. The i5 12th gen seems to be a good chip. The 8gb of ram is passable for what my daughter would need this for. From what I’ve been able to glean you can add an additional 8gb, and I will probably do that.No issues with the SSD for the intended use that I can see.The screen has a good amount of brightness and doesn’t produce a lot of glare. Those are my thoughts. I think it’s a good, serviceable laptop if you don’t need a ton of high-end specs.

  16. C. Earnshaw

Windows 11 is a bit of a letdown (why can’t Microsoft just leave a good thing alone?) but the laptop has worked perfectly for me. It’s lightweight and seems to have decent battery life. The display is perhaps not as crisp and colorful as some, but I didn’t want to spend a fortune when I just use it mostly for Internet and the occasional PDF or photo editing. The processor seems to be more than up to the task for my simple needs, and having Bluetooth capability on my laptop (instead of just my phone and tablet) is really nice.

  17. D.Y

I bought it for my wife and she loves it! It is slim, fast and quite!

This is an economical laptop for general home use, including surfing the internet, attending Zoom meetings, and shopping on the Web. Build quality seems good and the machine has a reasonable selection of features for this price point.PROS=====Good Hardware:Nice 14” FHD display screen (color / resolution)Physical size/weight are a nice middle-of-the-road balance (not too big/not too heavy)Like the built-in Camera privacy shutter (cover)Trackpad pad operates smoothly and is appropriately sensitive to the clicksKeyboard has nice tactile feelTwo USB-A, one USB-C, 1 HDMI, I card slot8GB RAM / 256GB Samsung SSDIntel Core i5 Processor / Fast enough for Internet surfing, etc., but NOT a gaming machine.CONS=====Software:Windows 11 Home (64 bit) Operating SystemMicrosoft Account Login required for set-up / No option to skip this => Sharing of files on all devices is Not desirable if setting up a kids’ homework computer (Don’t want kids having access to my files). Also, generally prefer to keep Work and Home computing separate. Some Bloatware – Ads for Xbox video game pass (not interested), Annual MS Office365 membership, etc. keep popping up.Hardware:Keyboard appears to be able to run backlit but I can’t figure out how to turn that feature on/off.No explanation of the special functions on the (top-row) FN keys – Not all of these Symbols are obvious‎802.11n Wi-Fi performance is relatively slow. I have a 500Mbps Xfinity connection, accessable via a 450Mbps (ASUS RT-N66U) router – Speedtest shows 682Mbps available when direct-wired (LAN) to our desktop PC. The included Lenovo WiFi adapter somehow has link speed of just 144Mbps (Receive/Transmit) and achieved only 88-to-96Mbps rate on Speedtest, while sitting just 2 feet from the router. Should be faster than that…

Wait I remember that I bought it and it said touch screen but I havent been able to use that function. I have tried but nothing maybe I’m missing something. I have also tried to use the carmera and it doest go on. Other than that I love this laptop.

  21. T. Carradine

I bought this laptop because the old one had an outdated Windows. This one is up to date. Wish it had a cd tray.

  22. Jim

Runs like a well tuned car, I am pleased with this purchase.

  23. Tony L

This laptop works great. Fantastic battery life and the larger screen size is fantastic. I am very happy with this purchase.

  24. Catherine Stewart

Great computer! Versatile, exceptional video, easy to use. Battery lasts all day.

  25. Michael Romero

All features worked as expected, was surprised that it didn’t come with a CD/DCD player. I’m thinking how I will play CD’s and DVD’s or install software etc etc, problem resolved with and external CD/DVD device, consider ROOFILL products.

  26. Mariela Quintero

This IdeaPad 3i is very well made and runs far better than I expected. The screen is clear and sharp with no bad spots of dead pixels. As expected, there is some bleed out with solid blacks but that is a common thing with all screens like this one.Setting this up was simple. Windows 11 Pro installed without any issues. A big plus for me was there is not a lot of bloatware filling up the hard drive. I only had to uninstall the anti-virus software and that was it. It had a bios update but it automatically updated it through Windows. The keypad is smooth and feels good to use for long periods of time.Windows 11 Pro runs great and better than I expected with 8GB of memory. I only use this laptop for Word and generic usage so its perfect for me. This laptop is very responsive and works great.Overall, I am very pleased with this laptop.

  34. yev

I love that it is portable but is still powerful enough to run a lot of daily tasks. I use it to Flash ECU’s on some of my cars and it was able to handle that just fine.

  35. J.R. Sedivy

This laptop is easy to setup and easy to use. It’s the first PC I’ve had in years (I’ve been a Mac user since 2007), but I really enjoy the features and easy usability.I had to create a Microsoft account during setup, but it was quick and easy (I assume most PC users would already have this). The trackpad is very responsive – you can change its sensitivity, but I’m enjoying how fast it moves.Everything loads up fast, and for my needs it’s been great. I wanted a PC for the rare times I need to do something (or download software) that is PC-only, but I can see myself using this laptop more regularly to do my graphic design work. It’s also beautiful, with a dark blue, lightly textured shell.Recommend.

  36. reviewer

I did not really like this laptop but I gave it five stars because for the price I paid of $380 it was beyond anything anyone could expect. The 17-in screen is large and perfectly fine. The laptop itself is thin and light for a 17-in laptop and looks really good. The memory is very easy to upgrade and you can get it to 40 GB if you pay $75 or so for a 32 GB dimm to put in there. But the idea that this is a six core chip is really deceptive. I mean I guess the technically has six scores but it behaves like an Intel four core laptop chip from 4 years ago. I think they don’t give the chip enough power or something I don’t know to save battery maybe? but don’t think that you’re going to get the same performance that you would get from a current desktop AMD ryzen 6 core chip. it’s not going to be the same at all.

    Todo muy bien

  38. Larry C.

Like the big screen. Had another Lenovo before this one. Finally broke down. Got lots of use from it. Highly recommend this product.

  39. Swusa007

I decided to replace my old desktop with a 17” laptop. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 was very competitively priced and the quality seems great. Very slick design and very lightweight for a 17” laptop. The ram was very easy to upgrade to 16 GB. Boots up in seconds.

  40. Questy

My 3rd Lenovo. Overall, it’s quality. Quality feel, beautiful VHD screen which seems to have extra vertical dimension, but had a slightly warm light/redish/brownish tint which I had trouble getting color calibration to save. Turning off “Transparency Effects” in Settings definitely helped so it’s almost pure white. A bit heavy laptop at 7.6 lbs, despite being titled “light weight” but not a big deal. Battery life 2 weeks in looks maybe 3-4 hours which has been par for me. 16 GB Ram 11 slams the memory (92% yesterday) with about 100 tabs open in Chrome, unlike my 5-year old Windows 10, 16 GB Lenovo. This is not an issue with this PC but simply Windows 11 consumes at least 2-3 GB more RAM than Windows 10, so 16GB barely cuts it for me. I found a “tab suspender extension” which does help with some of the memory issues and makes it workable. However, I only exchanged this because I do use a lot of Chrome tabs, and I found the same model model with 32 GB RAM. When searching, that upgrade seems to be mostly grand more when filtering through Amazon, but I found basically the same model with 32 GB RAM for only $150 more. I found it on laptopmedia dotcom which links to Amazon. I just received it, and it’s the exact same laptop except double the RAM.

  41. Amazon Luv’r

This computer is wonderful. Perfect for a old guy or a young student. Lightweight and travel friendly. Bought a second cord so I don’t have to crawl under the desk when I want to travel. Fast speeds. Back lighting on my keep board. I also use docking station with larger monitor and have no issues. Such a good computer.

  42. Pablo F.

Price vs Quality, great!!! Perfect laptop for work, has a big screen and it’s relatively fast. I’m happy with my new laptop!!!

The Lenovo Intel EVO i7 Slim is sleek, lightweight, a touch-screen and functional enough to handle apps with a beautiful high-resolution screen. It’s a flexible operating system as I had no issue setting up my functions and registration. The Intel Core i7 makes for an excellent gaming laptop as well.I was happy to see that they keyboard included a 10-key section and touchpad. The buttons are soft to touch and not much of a distraction for those who possess an advanced typing speed.Again, navigating the desktop was a breeze. Resetting forgotten passwords was simple. If you don’t already have an active antivirus protection account, it comes with a 30-day trial security from McAfee.

Excellent value for money laptop. It is an excellent device for productivity and entertainment of streaming services. If you are looking for a gaming laptop, you should look at other options.

PRODUCT VERSION REVIEWEDLENOVO – 2022 – IDEAPAD 3I – ESSENTIAL LAPTOP COMPUTER – INTEL CORE I5 – 15.6″ FHD DISPLAY – 8GB MEMORY – 512GB STORAGE – WINDOWS 11 PROQUICK REVIEW [TL;DR]VERY NICE BACK TO SCHOOL LAPTOP FOR THE NON-GAMEROVERVIEW:The LENOVO – 2022 – IDEAPAD 3I (‎82RK0017US) impressed me with its looks, style and weight. It was easy to set up initially and get running. The screen is nice and bright and the keyboard is very functional with backlighted keys and a numeric keypad. The touchpad performed very well.I like the privacy shutter on the camera and the overall stylized metallic (like) finishes. After some tuning (see tips at the end) I was able to get a respectable enough 30-40 fps at 1080p and low graphic settings in various benchmarks. Which is definitely in the “playable” range for many games. The sound was pretty accurate sounding for a laptop.SOME HIGHLIGHTED PRO’s FOR ME- Numeric Keypad- Lighted Keys- IPS Display panel with good viewing angles- USB-C port (only 5Gb/s) with video pass though- Built in SD Card Reader- Good Battery Life (about 6 hours if you are careful)SETUP: (and TIPS)Overall, it is a typical Windows 11 setup experience where you answer some questions and press next. I did not find a ton of bloatware yet.BIOS UPDATES: The LENOVO VANTAGE software will try to update the drivers and BOIS, but even though it looks like it is working and installing the new BIOS, it does not successfully complete on its own. In my case what worked was to manually download the BIOS from the Lenovo website, and then right-click and run it as administrator.GRAPHICS PERFORMANCE: Even after all the updates form LENOVO, the graphics benchmarking was horrible (about 5 FPS). Eventually, I went to the INTEL website and manually loaded the latest graphics drivers for the INTEL IRIS graphics that are built into the CPU, and then magically, my framerate climbed to 30-40 FPS. The INTEL driver installer gives you a ton of warnings when installing that you should be using the latest Lenovo Drivers, instead, and to proceed at your own risk. It worked fine.OTHER DRIVERS: I have grown fond of 3rd party driver update utilities, once I was done with the above updates, the utility found another dozen or so intel related drivers that needed to be updated. After that, I feel confident that the LENOVO – 2022 – IDEAPAD 3I (‎82RK0017US) is running as fast as it can.TESTING (After all the updates above)MEMORY: The 82RK0017US only has 8GB of internal memory, but there is a second slot. I would highly suggest that you double the memory by adding another 8GB DDR4 chip. This should get you a 10-15% boost in overall performance, as well as enable your computer to do more “write caching” to help disk performance. Overall 16GB just gives you more breathing room when running apps.DISK: In my unit the included drive was a mid-range MICRON drive with about 2200 MB/s read and 1200 MB/s write. This is perfectly fine for this targeted use of a laptop. Unless you need more capacity, I would just keep the included drive instead of upgrading it to something faster.GRAPHICS: At 1080p and low-quality settings I was able to average about 40 FPS in my testing tools. For internal graphics this is about what I would expect. If you need a little more speed then try running at lower resolutions like 720p instead of 1080p.WIFI NETWORK: I was able to get my full speed of my network (in my case 600 Mb/s)RECOMMENDATION:I would target this laptop for a student that does not need a lot of graphic intensive applications (games, CAD, Video Creation / Publishing). Otherwise, it is very well suited for everyday computing (office apps), browsing, video playback, etc.Overall, the LENOVO – 2022 – IDEAPAD 3I (‎82RK0017US) is a well-balanced general use computer. I went back and forth in my mind for removing 1 star due to the BOIS and GRAPHICS DRIVER issues I experienced. In the end I decided for full marks, because this experience (hunting down drivers) is pretty typical across most vendors. Once properly configured the LENOVO – 2022 – IDEAPAD 3I (‎82RK0017US) does everything it says it will, and looks good doing it.

Laptop arrived on time, in perfect condition.Works perfectly. Process of initialization lasted for about an hour. Very silent while working.Screen quality – very good.Keyboard – shallow, very good, backlit.Fingerprint scanner works perfectly.Sound – good at this price range.Looks better and more expensive than its price range suggests.Very good job Lenovo.

I’ve had many Lenovo products over the year and have always been happy. Actually my current laptop is a Lenovo convertible and I love it, has no issues what so ever. This unit is very nice, well made with a great fit and finish. It is also quite thing and light weight. Comes with a charging box and plug. So far it seems to charge quite fast. It was dead when I took it out, but after a short time it said it was at 84%, surprisingly fast.Setup was like any PC or laptop with windows. Just follow the steps and entered your information when needed. Simple enough. Nothing different or out of the ordinary. Not sure if I am a fan of Windows 11 yet, but maybe once I use it more? This of course is no powerhouse, but it runs smoothly so far. Quite snappy so far. It’s only an i5, so it is a more general PC, but would be good for family use, work or for students. Has 8GB which is okay, but it runs okay. 8gb is kind of low these days, although general use, it works just fine.I wanted to check out the display. I played a 4K video from the tubes and at first it looked bad, but come to find out YT defaulted to 720p. Why? Anyways, I tried cranking it up to 2160, but it kept buffering and stuttering. I tried 1440 and that worked perfectly, not buffering, not stuttering. And at that setting it’s a very nice display, fantastic picture.Only complaint I have, it’s sad to see the advertising. The default background had ads in it. Not a huge deal you can change it, so not a big deal. I don’t see too much crapware, besides icky McAfee, so that is good.Like I said, it’s not gamer or workstation, but overall it is a good laptop and I like it. Price is not bad, would recommend.

Great quality computer, my husband and I bought laptops about 4 years ago, his was an HP, after a year it sounded like a jet engine taking off, finally had enough so he got a Lenova too 🙂

I5 1235u has plenty of power and it semi upgradable, draws back are that it on has one NVMe, so you will have to clone the drive to upgrade you storage, it come with 8gb dd4 soldered to the board and one slot for expansion. add a extra stick of ddr4, greatly improves over performance.Great for med range gaming also,

Its very fast and very responsive, looks good and preforms very well, i have it only one week but i can say its very good. made some installation on it plus cad/cam design software and its faster than my desktop pc with I7 gen 10 processor and16 GB ram.

Overall for the price it’s a great deal for everyday laptop that is high quality and very easy to use. Got it for my school needs as I’m getting back to school for additional degree. Pretty easy to navigate, touch screen works really nice but I feel like I’m old school so using mouse most of the times. It really what it is, everyday household laptop that now is in our living room and both my husband and I use it for simple things. As far as gaming goes, I wouldn’t play MMO on it, it’s just not built for that type of experience. Quality is amazing, I like simplicity and user friendly. I mean can’t go wrong with this for school or work and it doesn’t break the bank. Personally I like it, it serves the purpose what we got it for – household laptop. Our oldest son also can log in to his school to see homework and do some activities. Overall we used it for about 2 weeks now and pretty happy with performance.

QUICK SUMMARY: With minimal bloatware, this laptop is a good upgrade for basic computing work.WHAT I LIKE:- Minimal bloatware. The only program that I hate that I had to immediately remove was McAfee anti-virus (it’s intrusive and hogs CPU power)- Windows 11 Pro is great. I use a Windows server to store data and Windows Pro lets me use the Offline Files and Folders feature so my data comes with me wherever I go- Keyboard has a good feel- LCD monitor display has good, vibrant colors- The Intel i5 CPU is a great choice for this value-oriented laptop- SSD is speedy, as you’d expect (glad it’s not a slow HDD)- USB-C ports- Long battery lifeThere wasn’t much I found that I didn’t like, but I haven’t used it much since getting it. Recommended!

Probably one of the best laptop I have used after using Apple for a long time. The touch screen quality makes it more competitive. The quality of screen and sound are just amazing and can’t be beat. Not to mention 1TB space and 16 Gb card. Best for high graphics games too.I love it and will be using it. So excited.

computer looks beautiful so far. I was very concerned about the power plug because poor power plug design can easily lead to failures and breakages… and the power plug seems flimsy and badly designed. I plan to make it work as long as possible anyway. I have it desk mounted for now but I plan to take it on trips when I can. So I will plan to give my opinion at that time for that. So far so good. It took me a few days to get it dialled in to the point where I feel comfortable working with it but it seems good so far.

Things I like:1. great i5-1235u processor (fast and efficient)2. supports 2 external displays (2560×1440 60hz and 1920×1080 60hz works just fine)(one through USB C displayport and another through HDMI)3. lots of ports in general4. build quality is pretty good even though this is a budget plastic laptop5. the 1080p IPS screen is actually really good, very little backlight bleed (a little dim overall though)6. keyboard is good7. privacy switch for webcam8. USB C charging in addition to barrel plug (thought I haven’t tested this)9. 8gb ram is soldered with 1 free SODIMM slot, making upgrading to 16gb easyThings I don’t like:1. Speakers are bad2. Trackpad is usable but not great. Clicks feel bad and are hard to actuate3. My unit did NOT come with an empty 2.5″ drive bay. This means to add more storage you will be replacing the m.2 drive the laptop comes with. I think most other Ideapad models have an empty 2.5″ drive bay.4. I thought battery life would be great due to the efficient CPU but it’s just okay. It has a small battery so battery life is only about 4-5 hours with regular web use (the dim screen means you will be running it at like 80% brightness, which is probably part of the reason the battery life isn’t so great)

I haven’t tried the fingerprint reader. Extra monitors purchased worked initially but now trying to configure from the USB cable port.

I like the feel of the keys and that there is a little more room between keys. The power is great, the speed is good and all work great. Thanks for making a quality product.

The laptop is for our personal use and we upgraded from our previous Lenovo to add more memory. I have no dislikes.

This laptop won over my husband who is generally an Apple fan. The initial set-up was easy with a step-by-step walkthrough. The touch screen, keys, and touch pad are all very responsive. The screen image quality is also nice and larger than we expected from the exterior size. He was impressed with its speed and its ease of use.He has primarily used it for retro simulator gaming and not had any issues. His 3rd party X-Box USB controller was also instantly recognized and compatible. It is a light-weight versatile machine and is a good value for the current asking price.

  74. Scarey

Really well built, great screen too. Not exactly a powerhouse but pretty good for general use. Pretty decent for a little portable workstation to take between the house, the kitchen, the garage, chilling in the yard, etc.

It took a little time to turn off enough of the vendor notifications and unnecessary Windows processes. But with an additional 8GB Ram, this seems like it will be a useful endpoint for browsing, reading, and light development & testing.

    Beautiful and fast laptop

I got this to use as my backup laptop but I ended up liking it so much that it’s the main one I’ll use now. It checks all the boxes for me. Set up was quick and easy, not confusing at all. Graphics are excellent and the sound quality and clarity is really good. It’s compact size and light weight makes it easy to pack with me when needed. The battery life is good and I like that it has a built-in privacy shutter. The feel of the keyboard and layout is nice. I’ve had no issues at all with it so far.
